Our Lady of Lourdes

Our Lady of Lourdes: Our Lady of Lourdes is the title of Mary under which she appeared to Saint Bernadette Soubirous in France in 1858. She revealed herself as the Immaculate Conception and asked for prayer and penance for the conversion of sinners. She also invited Bernadette to drink and wash from a spring that miraculously flowed from the grotto where she appeared. Many healings and miracles have been attributed to the intercession of Our Lady of Lourdes and the water of the spring. She is the patroness of bodily ills, sick people, and Lourdes, France. Her feast day is February 11.
